FEATURES: clint is 80% deaf and wears at least one hearing aid (typically his right ear, though canon is inconsistent about this). this varies between being a set of small ITE hearing aids, and one or two (depending on how marvel's doing on remembering clint's deafness) BTE hearing aid(s). in any case: purple.

DRESS: purple tbh

clint's dress sense 100% depends on the circumstances, but you can take the boy out of the circus but you can't take the circus out of the boy. his hawkeye outfits are often a look (and there was once a miniskirt), ~~but in recent years the flamboyancy has been set aside for this, which is sad, but there's still purple~~. nevermind, we're back, baby.

on a day-to-day basis, clint tends to wear t-shirts and jeans (often still featuring purple), with the occasional sweatpants thrown in.

canon point depends on the vibes, innit. typically circa freefall, but i don't play from one era rigidly wrt memes and consider them a little more flexible. in terms of sheer characterisation, i'm a big fan of gruenwald and busiek/nicieza, but i'm just out here trying to strike a balance between pre- and post-fraction hawkeye, fam.

nb. i don't use the lemire version of clint's backstory. it feels too misery-porn on top of everything else in the barton family history. this mostly means that i disregard clint and barney being fostered, and instead run with 'they ran away to the circus directly from the orphanage' as per gruenwald's og backstory.
